What is the correct pronunciation of the word "photograph"?
Indians in general tend to put the stress on the second syllable of the word. Native speakers, on the other hand, place the stress on the first syllable "pho". The "o" in the first syllable is pronounced like the "o" in "so", "go" and "no", while the second "o" is like the "a" in "china". The "a" in the final syllable "graph" is like the "a" in "path", and "bath" and the following "ph" sounds like the "f" in "fish", "fee", and "felt".Source:
