Is it OK to end a letter to a Principal in the following manner? ``Dear Sir, ... Thank you, Yours obediently
When you begin a letter with ``Dear Sir'' you normally conclude by saying ``Yours sincerely''. Some people prefer to use ``Yours faithfully''. ``Yours obediently' 'is used quite often in India to show respect. It is, however, considered rather old fashioned by native speakers of English. If you wish to show respect, then you could sign off with ``yours respectfully''. You can conclude your letter in the following manner: ``Thank you. Yours sincerely, XXXX''Source:
